Helpful Housemate sought for Streatham SW16
Available January 2026
£625 per month (including bills).
A friendly person in their 50’s is seeking a Helpful Housemate for their home to give them a little bit of help – up to 3 hours a week – in exchange for the lower-than-market-rate rent. This Host is wheelchair bound so she does have a female live-in carer for her care needs.
This person would really benefit from some light practical help around the house including putting out the bins, helping to keep the communal areas clean. Someone who would be happy to help in the garden would be ideal.
The accommodation on offer is a good-sized double room furnished with a double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. There is a separate toilet near the Housemates bedroom and shared use of the kitchen, wet room and sitting room ( which is currently being fixed up).
The property is conveniently located around 5 minutes’ walk from Streatham Station and the High Road with lots of shops and a bus station.
Helpful Housemates usually work or study and have a few spare hours each week to offer a light hand to their Host. The ideal Helpful Housemate will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable female non-smoker.
